In fact fitting and designing clothing for dogs is often more challenging simply because form must follow function.

Although never bitten on a film set Ms. Baker has had plenty of experience with difficult customers. She knows well how to use psychology, wit and patience to charm her clients

Our founder and C.E.O Maxyne Baker first and foremost adores both animals and the planet we live on. This company is a reflection of her lifestyle and beliefs.
After working in the Film and Television Industry as a costume designer for more than twenty years, Spot da Dog was born out of a need live a healthier lifestyle, show respect for Mother Earth and pro-actively return the unconditional love that our canine friends deliver to us.

As you can imagine Ms.Baker has many applicable skills from her prior experience. She received her degree in Fashion Technique and Design from Sheridan College in 1981. She has been classically trained to sketch, draft and fit clothing. Although a dogs shape and range of movement can become a study unto itself, the same basic principals apply in pattern drafting and fit.
